Why Have a Community Garden?

Most of our audience aren't members of the Community Garden, nor likely to be. We're full up and there's no room to expand, so this isn't a sales pitch to join! So why this talk?

Gardening is popular. Most people have at least some flowers, perhaps some herbs or berries. But enough room, and sunlight, to grow meaningful amounts of actual food isn't something most of us can take for granted.

The Monson Community Garden is one of the things our town does well.
