  • 1½ cups brown sugar

  • ⅔ cup oil

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 cup sour milk

  • 2½ cups flour

  • 1½ cups rhubarb ( peeled and chopped)

  • ½ cup nuts

Topping:

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter


  1. Mix brown sugar, oil and egg

  2. Mix sour milk, vanilla, soda, and salt

  3. Add to brown sugar mixture

  4. Add flour, rhubarb and nuts

  5. Pour into two greased 8 x 4 inch pans

  6. Mix sugar and melted butter well and spread over top.

  7. Bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes
