Reattaching the magnetic catch

1. Tie a thread to the top of the stem to prevent it from falling into the channel and out the bottom.
2. Slide the top bushing off the stem.
3. Carefully lower the stem enough so the bottom mechanism protrudes below the body but no further. Secure the thread, perhaps by winding it around the body.
4. Insert the magnetic catch into the bottom piece, slip the spring over it.
5. Gently spread the grasping arms just enough to slip in the top of the catch. Pull the spring over the bottom of the arms; pushing with the bottom piece can help.
